NixIt AI was founded on the principle that neurodivergent people deserve technology designed for how their brains actually work, not tools that force compliance with neurotypical standards.
Our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is structural, not performative. It is embedded in our product architecture, our team composition, and our business model.
Every person on our team is neurodivergent or raising neurodivergent kids. Our founder is a woman who has navigated ADHD while raising four neurodivergent children. We build from lived experience because no amount of market research replaces knowing what it feels like when your brain works differently.
The free web portal is our equity backbone: individuals and families never pay for the calendar, tasks, goals, or Circles. Text support adds another door, with no app, no smartphone, and no Wi-Fi required, for users in rural Colorado, users experiencing housing instability, and anyone priced out of digital tools.
We prioritize neurodivergent adults who aged out of support services at 18, a population disproportionately affected by unemployment, housing instability, and mental health crises. Within this group, BIPOC neurodivergent individuals face compounded barriers including later diagnosis, reduced access to accommodations, and cultural stigma around disability.
NixIt uses a neurodiversity-affirming model. We measure thriving, not deficits. We design for autonomy, not compliance. Our AI never pathologizes the user. Every interaction preserves dignity and reinforces self-efficacy.
EDI is not a section of our grant application. It is the reason NixIt exists.
